Storage tanks

De Gouwe is a specialist in the tank construction market. Since its establishment in 1946, the family company has focused on the in-house design and construction of various types of storage tanks for the chemical, food, cosmetics and pharmaceutical industries. The result of this is an efficient and modern machine park.

A glimpse into our machine park for tank construction:

• Hydraulic decoiler where work is performed using sheet coils, which, with the aid of a unique and in-house designed hydraulic arm, can be quickly, safely, and economically decoiled. This keeps the handling and the number of welds to a minimum.
• Automatic TIG/Plasma longitudinal welding lathe, used to fully weld flat plates in one go, without chamfering.
• Spinning tool for applying a spin radius to conical bottoms up to 6,000 mm in diameter.
• Rolling machines, which we use for finishing the welds (this prevents deformations around the weld)
• Automatic TIG/Plasma circular welding lathe, which enables us to fully weld cylinders/body, without chamfering.
• Staining station, which enables us to stain/passivate the materials effectively, including automated neutralisation, so that we can process the wastewater in an environmentally friendly manner.

We handle various types of stainless steel tanks with a content ranging up to approximately 300,000 litres.
These range from single items to large series that can be transported by road or water.
